About Us
My name is Dan Helvey. I was raised in Southern Illinois in the home of a over the road truck driver and a godly mother. I was saved after US Navy boot camp at the Sailor ministry of First Baptist Church, Hammond, IN. After finishing my time in the Navy I attended Hyles Anderson College where I graduated in 1991. Since then I have had the opportunity to serve as a Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor and as a Senior Pastor. I have four beautiful children that I love dearly and desire to be all they need in a father. This website is dedicated to people that are going through the valley and need a refreshing drink of water from the well of grace. It is my joy to point people to the richest pastures possible. As all of you are aware, there is one book above every other. That is none other than the Word of God, The Bible. I am an advocate of the King James Bible. I do not make it a bone of contention. If you want to quarrel over the authenticity or authority issues of God’s Word go elsewhere. Rather than try to dispute the Bible why not discipline yourself to study it? When down, discouraged, or without hope it is the first place to turn. You too will find what thousands others have found that, “The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart.” Psalm 19:8 It is my prayer that you can find this web site to be an encouragement to your heart.
